TELECOM ParisTech Multimedia Lab

Our lab is working on many topics in the multimedia area. Let's cite a few of them:

  • Multimedia Systems architecture: Authoring, Delivery and Presentation of Multimedia Services
  • Scalable Coding and Adaptation of Multimedia Information
  • Multimedia Security
  • Distributed Multimedia Services

We are involved in many accademic projects (european and french) as well as industrials partnerships. Most of our work is released under LGPL licence, and we are welcoming accademics and engineers sharing our vision of open multimedia. Our team is located in Paris, France.

Open Positions

Quality Engineer

TELECOM ParisTech is looking for a quality engineer for the GPAC project. The candidate will be in charge of:

  • Maintaining the GPAC software and WebSite
  • Interfacing with the GPAC community (public forums, accademics and industrial partners)
  • Demonstrating the multimedia lab R&D results (web site, public events, project audits)

Requirements

  • OS Knowledge: Unix, Linux, Windows, MacOS. CE OS knowledge (Symbian, Windows Mobile, ...) would be a plus.
  • Operating Knowledge in C and C++. Famliar with GNU or Microsoft development environments.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
  • Fluent in english.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

This position is a renewable short-term contract of 2 years.

Software Engineer

France is currently adopting the T-DMB standard for its Digital Interactive Radio broadcasting, and TELECOM ParisTech, as a core developper of the MPEG-4 Standard, is deeply involved in this activity. TELECOM ParisTech is looking for a software engineer in the field of multimedia broadcasting. The candidate will be in charge of:

  • Interfacing with our accademic and industrial partners,
  • Developping authoring tools and delivery servers for interactive multimedia services.
  • Specification development and project management (publications, public events, project audits)

Requirements

  • OS Knowledge: Unix, Linux, Windows.
  • Operating Knowledge in C. Working knwoledge of Java or C++.
  • Knowledge in SVG or MPEG-4 BIFS would be a plus.
  • Fluent in french.
  • Strong communication, writing and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

This position is a renewable short-term contract of 1.5 years.
